Westminster Presbyterian Church seeks a Praise Band
Director to direct all music activity at its 9 a.m. contemporary
worship service each Sunday. Skills include singing and playing
an instrument. Candidate must have a vibrant faith along with
experience singing, playing an instrument (preferably piano) and
directing singers and musicians in worship. This is a part-time
position, up to 10 hours a week. Salary commensurate with

Westminster has long-standing history of getting involved in the
Sacramento area. Learn more about the organizations and programs
that we participate in.
Without passing judgment, and in a spirit of love and
hospitality, Sacramento’s Loaves & Fishes feeds the hungry
and shelters the homeless. Homeless men, women and children
seeking survival services are provided an oasis of welcome,
safety, and cleanliness. A group from Westminster
volunteers at Loaves & Fishes on the first Saturday each

Westminster Presbyterian Church has supported the River City Food Bank with
donations of food for many years. In addition to volunteer days
throughout the year, we also collect food donations to be
delivered to River City.
“Build for Unity” is a monumental interfaith build program and
effort by Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento to bring
people together of different backgrounds and faiths to put aside
differences and build homes and unity in our community.
Opportunities come up throughout the year for Westminster friends
to participate in this inspirational build.
Westminster members volunteer at William Land Elementary
School to tutor and mentor students and help play a role in
the school’s success. In 2008, William Land Elementary School was
selected by the State of California as a 2008 Distinguished
School, and the partnership continues to bear fruit.

Empowerment educates and empowers women who are homeless with
the skills and confidence necessary to get a job, create a
healthy lifestyle, and regain a home for themselves and their
children.
