On November 19 and 26 Westminster youth will be selling See’s candies after the 9 and 11 a.m services to raise funds for a cow they are buying through the Presbyterian gift guide. The bovine will be given to a family or village in Kenya and will help as an on-going food source and promote sustainable agricultural practices.
Westminster youth are gathering items for homeless people in the area. Please drop off small-sized toiletries, socks and snacks to the office by Nov. 12.
The youth will then meet at Westminster the afternoon of Saturday, Nov 18 and will assemble the packages as they eat lunch. The youth and leaders will then go distribute the packages throughout the area.
Join the youth at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13 as we sing the joys of the Christmas season with our friends at the Pioneer House, 415 P St., then return to Westminster at 7 p.m. for a fun-filled light dinner. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to dine with the group so there will be enough food!
On Dec. 15 we will host a special Christmas-themed Parents NIght Out. This night of fun for children from infants to middle school ages includes crafts, dancing, snacks and movies, while parents can enjoy a few hours to themselves or assist Santa’s helpers in finishing up last minute tasks. There is no fee. This is our gift to the parents who work so hard to balance hectic schedules and still search for peace in the Christmas season.
