Immigration, prayers and stewardship – it must be October!

Dusk descending ever earlier each day is a vivid reminder that, no matter how hard we try, time indeed marches on. In October the chuch’s program year also marches on – and into the important and timely topic of immigration. Learn about it from a faith perspective as well as from some Sacramento neighbors who are refugees. The upcoming Fall Gathering features the executive director of Opening Doors and on Tuesday Oct. 3 we’re blessed to have a Myanmar peacekeeper and a mission co-worker from Central Asia at 5:30 p.m.. Read all about these activities in the enclosed newsletter.

Also, please remember this Sunday is World Communion Day. If you would like to share a loaf of bread from another culture during this special communion service, please let Jan Sharpless, 916-442-2703, know. You can drop your bread off Saturday at the church between 12:30 and 2 p.m.

Happy Fall.
