Give back this holiday season
Learn about the various ongoing projects that benefit local organizations

  • Giving Tree: The annual giving tree will be up starting Nov. 25! It will be adorned with wish lists for children represented by three organizations: Mustard Seed School, Opening Doors, & Mary House (diapers only). Take an ornament and return it to the office with an appropriate gift no later than Sunday, Dec. 9. Please note that gifts for Opening Doors need to be wrapped and ones for Mustard Seed School should not be wrapped–the tags/ornaments will say which organization that gift is for. For all gifts, just be sure to attach the ornament/tag to the outside.

  • Children & youth animal fundraiser: Last year, Westminster’s youth & children raised enough money to purchase three cows and some chickens through the Presbyterian Giving Catalog for a Kenyan family in need. This year, the youth will be selling See’s Candies to raise funds for this project and the 2018 Presbyterian Youth Triennium. They will have a table after the service, but you can always stop by the office to make your purchase. Please make checks payable to Smythe Elementary. The last day to place your order is Nov. 30. You can also make monetary donations for this project—just be sure to designate contributions for “Youth Animal Project” so that we make sure it goes to the right fund.

  • Women’s Empowerment Stocking Drive: Every year, Westminster supports the Christmas Stocking Drive for Women’s Empowerment, which brings joy to formerly homeless women and their children. This year, our goal is to provide 25 stockings! We are accepting donations of stockings, gift cards (i.e. Target, Starbucks, etc.), and fun all-age items to place in the stockings. All monetary donations will be used to purchase items. To reach our goal of 25 stockings, we need about $1,250! The last day to drop off donations is Dec. 4.

  • Community Against Sexual Harm (CASH) Toiletry Drive: PWOW is collecting toiletries for the clients of CASH. Please drop off donations by Dec. 11.
