There’s so much going on in December, that we decided to send out the enclosed newsletter a couple days EARLY! If you’d like a printable version of our Advent activities, click here.
Some things to remember for this Sunday, Dec. 2:
Advent/Christmas decorating after both services - plan on sticking around after Sunday’s service to help get the church ready for the Advent season. There will be something for all ages and abilities, and refreshments will be served.
CIM Marathon - Luckily, the California International Marathon (CIM) doesn’t run right in front of Westminster, but many Downtown streets will be affected (specifically L St. and Capitol Mall). Plan on giving yourself a bit more time to get to church on Sunday–if you don’t want to worry about running into closed streets, we suggest approaching Westminster from the south. Click here for a complete list of road closures.
Giving Tree - there are still tags left! Stop by the tree (on the first floor) and take a tag or two to support local organizations. The last day to drop off gifts is Dec. 9.
As we begin this Advent season, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with all of the activities going on and errands we need to run, but it is important that we remember the reason for the season–the birth of Jesus! May you allow the love and spirit of Christ that dwells in you be revealed each day through your actions and words.
