Ministry Teams

Ministry Teams

At Westminster, membership and leadership opportunities are open to all people solely on the basis of an affirmation of faith in Jesus Christ, without regard to race, nationality, age, gender, sexual orientation, level of education or income, or any enabling or disabling conditions.

Contact the office if you are interested in participating in any of the opportunities below.

The Administration Ministry Team is responsible for preparing and monitoring the church’s operating and capital budget, as well as overseeing major repairs and improvements to the church building and property.

Christian Education

The Christian Education (CE) Ministry Team provides religious education and nurturing spiritual growth through group study, resulting in connected fellowship.

The team oversees several aspects of Westminster, including the childcare, children’s and youth Sunday school classes, Vacation Bible School, Connecting on Wednesdays, and much more.

Volunteer Sunday School teachers are always needed…contact the office if you are interested!

The Membership Ministry Team works with the Session to receive new members and integrate existing members into the life of Westminster. This includes hosting new members classes, as well as organizing advertisement campaigns and other publicity efforts.

The team also coordinates the Sunday ushers and greeters.

Mission Outreach

Westminster’s Mission & Outreach Ministry team helps the church engage in missions locally and beyond; encourages individual participation in specific mission projects and programs.

The Personnel Ministry Team supports Westminster on all staffing matters. This includes recruitment and hiring, professional development, and handling staff problems.

The Stewardship Ministry Team assists the congregation in contributing each individual’s time, talents and treasure to the missions of the Church.

The Worship Ministry Team works with the pastor and music department to provide effective and meaningful worship experiences at Westminster.

In worship, the people of God acknowledge God present in the world and in their lives. The faithful offer themselves to God and are equipped for God’s service in the world. We find creative expressions in architecture, furnishings, appointments, vestments, music, drama, language and movement to awaken us to God’s presence.
