Westminster youth raised both funds and awareness about world hunger when they participated in the 30-Hour Famine project on March 31- April 1. Worldwide, children die every day, many due to causes related to mal-nourishment and hunger. The 30-hour famine, an established program sponsored by World Vision, included our youth learning about nutrition, food and participating in a park cleanup and distributing meals to the homeless. They spent the night in the church courtyard, and in the morning finished their community service.
