Membership works with the Session to receive new members and integrate existing members in the life of the Church. Participation in Membership requires enthusiasm, writing and communication skills, and knowledge of Westminster and its programs. Join us!

Please select from the following volunteer activities:

Greeter--greet members and visitors at back door at first service and front or back door at second service. Requires some knowledge of the Church to give directions and good people skills. Commitment: 1 to 12 Sundays per year depending on number of volunteers as assigned by Greeter coordinator

Sponsor--regular contact with prospective and new members with goal of full integration of new members in life of Westminster--Requires people skills and knowledge of Westminster and its programs. Some attempt to match sponsors with new members. Commitment: depending on number of volunteers one member or family per year as assigned by Sponsor coordinator.

Publicity Coordinator--responsible for writing and placing announcements in weekly bulletin, monthly newsletter and website as needed; train replacement Requires computer and writing skills. Commitment: must attend monthly meeting for one year.

Docents--tours of Westminster. Requires knowledge of history and physical layout of Westminster and people skills. Commitment:depending on number of volunteers, one to four times per year.

Coffee Hour Coordinator--recruit volunteers to set up and serve coffee hour after second service for entire church year. Monitor coffee hour calendar and remind volunteers of their assignments; train replacement. Requires people, telelphone and calendar skills. Commitment: one year.

Greeter Coordinator--recruit, train, assign and remind greeters of their assigments; train replacement. Requires people, telephone and calendar skills. Commitment: one year

Sponsor Coordinator--recruit, train, assign and remind sponsors of their assignments; train replacement. Requires people, telephone and calendar skills. Commitment: 3-4 new member classes over one year.

Living Directory Coordinator--secure space, create and maintain bulletin board with photographs of all current members and incorporate new members as needed; train replacement. Requires photography and bulletin board layout skills. Commitment: one year.

Church Directory Committee--work on committee doing one or some of the following tasks: schedule appointments, written and telephone reminders, assist photographer, read and understand contracts, communicate with Church Directory Company, layout, photography and proof reading of membership roster. Requires people, calendar, telephone, writing, contract interpretation, photography, art layout, proof reading skills. Commitment: one year every three or four years as needed.
