Middle school youth are encouraged to attend one of the worship
services at either 8:45 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. On the first and third
Sunday of each month they attend a class relevant to the
interests of middle and high school students in the Jackson Room
computer lab during the 11:00 a.m. service hour. The fourth
Sunday every month is dedicated to Youth, as they are fully
participatory in the service and often share their faith journey
with the congregation.
Senior High students participate in the life of the church while
fundraising for their own activities. A late winter Talent Show
and luncheon is hosted by the Jr. and Sr. high students to help
raise funds for their annual mission trip in the summer.
With adult advisors, youth enjoy many fun activities. The
last Friday of the month they have a “Fun Friday Nite.”
These fun nights consist of movies, cooking, zumba instruction
(new this year), duct tape creations, dining out, mall and
scavenger hunts, community service opportunities, and so much
more.
Middle and high school youth from all over get together for
dinner, ping-pong, foosball, volleyball, or just hang out. This
year, we’ve added our version of Minute to Win It games!
Our social hall provides a “home base” for youth with a
free dinner and fellowship on Wednesday nights during the school
year. This program specifically engages youth both from our
church and from the local community.
