It was a tree-top blast! A wonderful week with over two dozen children and youth learning about God’s love, each other, and mission. Ten of these children were first timers to VBS! We sang, danced, listened to great stories, had an exotic animal presentation, played games, snacked under nets, made crafts, and dedicated our penny collection to the Huch Uy Runa, Help the Children Association in Cuzco, Peru. This organization takes kids ages 5-17 years of age off the street and offers them food and shelter, along with a lot of love and affection.

All summer long, the children at Sunday school have collected change to be dedicated at the end of September to a children’s worthy cause. One of our preschoolers at VBS was so moved by our mission project that the next day he brought in a zip-lock bag with four of his favorite toy cars to give to the children. He dictated the following words to his mom,” I wants to give cars to little boys who don’t have cars to play with.” “And for babies when they grow up.” With love, Owen Forman.

A great big thank you to all our outstanding volunteers who did the most amazing job during the week; Celeste and Elaine Romano, Bailey Jones, Anna Haldeman, Elissa Kratzer, Kiyomi Akagi, Tricia Morris, Judy Tyzzer, Thelma (Will Pruitt’s grandma), Don Wright, Steve Gregg, Colleen & Haley Anthonisen, Danielle Wright, and our fabulous photographer, Roberta Neidigh. God Bless You for the great work and fun adventure.
