Sunday Activities
Infants and Toddlers
During the services, quality care is provided for infants and toddlers in our nursery by trained staff and parent volunteers. Toddlers are introduced to simple prayer, songs and Bible stories. Pagers are provided for your convenience. Parents are always welcomed to have their newborn babies and infants with them in the worship services.
Preschoolers: Preschool Room, 1st Floor
Our preschool room has been carefully designed and decorated to engage our most active learners. Preschoolers will experience a fun-filled morning of age-appropriate curriculum consisting of stories, crafts, music, imaginative play, and a healthy snack. Pagers are provided for your convenience and parents are invited to stay in the room, until both child and parent feel comfortable.
Kindergarten through Sixth Graders
Praise Service
Time: 9:00 to 9:45
Place: Sanctuary
Join parents and others in the Praise Service, which is informal, and "child friendly." After spending a short time in the service, children follow a leader to Children's Worship.
Spiritual Arts Classes
Time: 9:45 to 10:45
Place: Cameron Room
Children gather for Spiritual Arts, to learn about the elements of worship, as well as the biblical themes of the service. Children are presented opportunities to develop their creative expression through songs, artistry, movement, or instrumental instruction. Their talents are highlighted in worship on Spiritual Arts Sundays.
Traditional Service
Kindergarten - Sixth Graders
Bible Discovery Zone 11:15
Children kindergarten through sixth grade are escorted to fun-faith discovery zones after the children's' message and sung blessing. Using a rotational model of instruction, they attend one of three "zones" each week: Art, Drama/Music, and Search/Computer. The children rotate through all three zones focused on one Bible story for three weeks, each week using a different learning style to accommodate multiple intelligences.
Place: Nursery Room, 1st Floor
