Sunday, November 29th: First Sunday of Advent
Worship Services: 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.Sunday, December 6th: Second Sunday of Advent
Worship Services: 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Services with Healing.Advent Festival: 4:30-7:00 p.m.
This all-church family event will include crafts, storytelling, caroling and a pot-luck dinner (if your last name starts with letters A - M, please bring a casserole dish, letters N – Z a salad or side dish). Join us in experiencing the reason for the season! R.S.V.P. to the office by December 3rd.Wednesday, December 9th
Music At Noon: Kathryn Canan’s Absent Minded Women & Simply Renaissance; A Christmas Renaissance. Please join us for the festive concert at noon.Christmas Caroling: Join the youth and the praise band members as we head over to Pioneer House for caroling. Everyone’s invited, the more the merrier, meet at church at 5:30 p.m. and we’ll car pool over. Come as you are, we’ll provide the song sheets, and hot chocolate upon our return to the church!
Saturday, December 12th
Westminster Presbyterian Women invite all to attend their Winter Gathering Luncheon, with entertainment provided by the El Camino High School Madrigal Singers, directed by Pam Mitchel. Tickets are limited; $17.50 per person in advance; contact Jean Rae Pilcher (916) 428-9036.Sunday, December 13th: Third Sunday of Advent & Stewardship Commitment Sunday
Worship: 8:45 a.m., Praise Service with Communion.Worship: 11:00 a.m. Traditional Service with Communion. The Westminster Choir sings music by G. F. Handel from his Utrecht Te Deum and Jubilate Deo. The choir will also sing Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus at the conclusion of the service. Singers in the congregation are invited to join the choir! Music will be available at the beginning of the service. Join us for a rousing service of song.

Wednesday, December 16th
Music at Noon: Chanteuses Women’s Ensemble; Holiday Concert. If you’re downtown shopping, take a “time out,” bring your lunch, and enjoy holiday favorites and other music by this talented group. Arrive early as parking is a challenge.Saturday, December 19th
Parents Day Out – 10 a.m.-2 p.m.Parents of young children through 5th grade. Take advantage of this great opportunity to finish your last minute shopping or take in some personal time. Children will be cared for by our terrific youth volunteers and staff. Please bring a sack lunch or other needed items for your child, and we’ll take care of the rest. Call the office to register by December 17th.
Sunday, December 20th: Fourth Sunday of Advent
Worship: 8:45 a.m. Join the Praise Band and rejoice with the sounds of the holidays.Worship: 11:00 a.m. Join the Westminster Ringers & Choir for this Sunday morning service of joyous melody as we celebrate the return of our handbells following their extensive refurbishment in Whitechapel, England. Join us for a rousing re-dedication ceremony!
Wednesday, December 23rd
Music At Noon: Bel Tempo Handbell Ensemble holiday concert. Join us for this inspiring holiday treat!Thursday, December 24th: Christmas Eve
6:50 p.m. Our tower bells peal their welcome.7:00 p.m. Worship Service. Revisit the story of the coming of the Christ Child through the rich text of the Scriptures. Brad Slocum on the organ and the Westminster Choir will provide music and lead our singing. All children present will be invited to participate. (Childcare will be available for those up to 5 years of age.) We will also be lighting candles and singing “Silent Night.” Please join us for refreshments in the Patio Room after the service.
11:00 p.m. Worship Service. Celebrate Christmas in this joyous service of Lessons and Carols with the Praise Band, Westminster Ringers, and candles aglow. (There will be no childcare for the 11:00 p.m. service.)
