Why Do We Retreat? One Family's Story

We were asked

When we first joined Westminster a caring family took the time to implore us to come to Retreat. We felt included and valued. Once we attended we knew we would always go back – year after year.

It’s great family time

To be able to get away from our hectic schedules, slow down, relax and reflect is simply a gift we love to receive each April. That this gift happens to be at Lake Tahoe, our meals are cooked for us, the dishes done by others and the price so incredibly reasonable makes this a weekend we cannot pass up!

There is something for everyone

As a parent, I can only really relax and take time for reflection and spiritual development when I know my kids are safe, happy and engaged. At Retreat it all comes together for our family. The kids have a blast; parents get some time for us and our faith journey, and we all have the time to listen, learn and share.

Fellowship

The friendships that started at retreat are among the strongest we have at Westminster. To be able to eat, study and play with our fellow parishioners over an extended time strengthens the bond we have with them and the church.

You are invited

So please, join our family and come Retreat, April 16-18. Your presence will make the retreat a better experience for all, your faith will be nurtured, you will make some new friends and you will see others grow and learn. Retreat is a great time, it’s a very affordable get-a-way weekend and you will want to come back, year after year.
