Peter Hill, Director of Choirs

Peter Hill graduated from Bucknell University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in music. While there, he was music theory teaching assistant to composer William Duckworth and received the Barbara Watson Grever Prize in Music. In 1995, Peter received a Master of Music degree in piano performance, and in 1997, a Professional Studies Diploma from the Cleveland Institute of Music. He graduated with a Master of Education in music education from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2003. Peter is currently a Ph.D. student in musicology at the University of California, Davis.
Peter has taught at the Cleveland Music School Settlement in Ohio and The Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison, New Jersey. He has been published in the MENC's Teaching Music and reviews choral music for the Choral Journal of the ACDA.
Peter has a beautiful daughter, Emma Jane Hill, born June 28th, 2007.
