Introducing Pastor Wesley Nordman
Pastor Nominating Committee

Wes first caught our attention when he stated he was attracted to inclusive churches that are mission-focused and prone to outbursts of grace-induced happiness. Wes shares our commitment to scripture and our respect for intellectual freedom.  He brings the skills to empower our church to be a place of human transformation and the willingness to discern with us how to adapt to the 21st century.

Long Roads That Led, Finally, to the Altar
Wedding marathon at Westminster featured on New York Times website

Guests are expected to get misty-eyed at weddings, but during a recent ceremony at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Sacramento, even the minister was moved to tears.

“I never cry when I do this,” the Rev. Pamela Anderson said with a sniff, while performing the marriage of Alisha Grimes and Edward Purcell. “This one is special.”

Their wedding was one of eight held at the church on Nov. 19. All of the couples had completed a program for families at the Relationship Skills Center, an organization in Sacramento.

Makeup artists, hairstylists, wedding planners and photographers had volunteered their services. Cakes, dresses, flowers and even the money for licenses had been donated.

InterAct: A weekly gathering for middle and high school students

Middle and high school youth from all over get together for dinner, ping-pong, foosball, volleyball, and to just hang out. Its a regular “home base” for youth that includes dinner and fellowship on Wednesday nights during the school year. This program specifically engages youth both from our church and from the local community.
